Birthday Bags
Is your group or organization looking for a quick and fun community service project to help out the food bank?  Why not put together a “Birthday Bag” for a needy child ages 1 – 12?  You can help out by providing a “kit” which consists of everything needed to hold a birthday party – decorative plates, napkins, balloons, cake mix and frosting, candles, etc. all put together in a birthday-themed gift bag.   Birthday Bags can be dropped off at the Maltby Food Bank on Tuesdays or Thursday mornings. Click here for some birthday gift ideas.

Every child loves a birthday party and you can help to make it special!

Conduct a Food Drive

If your group wishes to sponsor a FOOD DRIVE for Maltby Food Bank please call Dianne Linden at 360-668-1463.

Food drives are essential to the operation of our food bank. The following are tips for a successful food drive:

  • Provide easy access for people to donate by leaving bins or barrels in convenient locations.
  • Advertise as much as you can. Advertising in local newspapers and distributing flyers is a good place to start.
  • Provide a list of suggested donations.

Other ways you can help . . .

In an effort to reduce the number of plastic bags used to transport groceries home from the food bank, we are asking for donations of cloth grocery bags. If you have cloth bags about the size of standard grocery bags, please see our contact information for location information.

Please designate Maltby Food Bank as a recipient of your United Way donation.

The Food Bank is registered as Maltby Food Bank with both the King and Snohomish County United Ways.  If you contribute directly to, or through an employer program, and have not designated your contribution for a specific charitable organization, please consider doing so the Maltby Food Bank. This will ensure that your contributions come back to support your local community and enhance our ability to better serve our clients in need.

Thank You To Our Fleet of Dedicated Drivers

We are blessed to have such dedicated volunteer drivers that pick up food for the food bank.  We have volunteers who pick up food every week, once a month or twice a month, using the food bank truck or their own vehicles.  Without all our loyal volunteer drivers, we would not have as much food for our clients. Thank you all so very much for your time and service.  We appreciate our drivers and all the volunteers that donate their time to the Maltby Food Bank!
