How Can You Volunteer?
Some of our long time volunteers have moved or retired. We need men and women to help us on Thursday mornings from 9:00 AM to noon to get the food ready for the Thursday afternoon give out. Just come by the food bank and we will put you to work!
DRIVERS NEEDED
Potential drivers must have a good driving record and must be able to pick up 50 lbs. of food. 2 people work together on the following days and times: ~ The second Saturday of each month picking up food at Albertsons in Clearview. ~ Every Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM picking up food at the VOA in Everett and at the Clearview Albertsons. ** These drivers use the Food Bank truck ** ~ Tuesdays from 10:00 -11:00 AM picking up food at Target in Woodinville. ** Your own truck is needed for this pick up **
Everyone will be trained. If interested please call Natalie at (425) 344-1490 and leave a message.

Food Drives
Food drives are essential to the operation of our food bank. The following are tips for a successful food drive:
Provide easy access for people to donate by leaving bins or barrels in convenient locations.
Advertise as much as you can. Advertising in local newspapers and distributing flyers is a good place to start.
In an effort to reduce the number of plastic bags used
to transport groceries home from the food bank, we are asking for
donations of cloth grocery bags. If you have cloth bags about the size
of standard grocery bags, please see our contact information for location information.
If you need to recycle plastic grocery bags, we gladly accept your donation of plastic bags as well.
Used Ink
The food bank continues to collect
used printer ink cartridges. Last year we received $225 from the
donated cartridges. Please drop off your old printer cartridges at the
food bank or contact Carolyn at (360) 668-2073 for more information.
Please designate Maltby Food Bank as a recipient of your United Way donation.
The Food Bank is registered as Make Me A Blessing Food Bank
with both the King and Snohomish County United Ways. If you contribute
directly to, or through an employer program, and have not designated
your contribution for a specific charitable organization, please
consider doing so the Maltby Food Bank. This will ensure that your
contributions come back to support your local community and enhance our
ability to better serve our clients in need.
